[Case Study of Local Exhaust Equipment] Design of a Hood Type Cover for Material Manufacturing Equipment

Balancing solvent odor control and workability! Introducing a case study of a cover-type hood design for material manufacturing equipment.

We would like to introduce a case where a materials manufacturer implemented local exhaust systems for manufacturing equipment. The manufacturer was using solvent-based adhesives in their material manufacturing equipment and faced issues with odors generated from the solvent filling area. Although measures were taken with existing equipment, the exhaust capacity was insufficient, leading to solvent odors leaking into the work area. Our company conducted an on-site survey and shape confirmation, and designed a new cover-type hood aimed at maintaining quality while preventing odor diffusion.
